  • #Supporter Sign-ups There are rumours out there that Joyce Murray has signed up nearly 50,000 supporters. How does one verify this or find out the total number of supporters who have signed up?

    • I think the 50,000 is just a rumour at this point and there’s probably no way your or I could verify it unless LPC HQ releases the actual Supporter numbers signed up for each candidate after the sign-up period closes this Sunday March 3rd. Perhaps Andre Brisebois could let us know if that will be the case.

Joyce Murray’s campaign has received…[Read more]

      • Thanks Doug I tried to counter the figures with similar information that matches yours. The last figure I saw was 47,000 total for all candidates. Have put a call into Ian McKay to see if I can get an updated count.

      • Actually, Lead Now has 225.000 members. Just how many of those will follow this organization’s suggestion to vote for Joyce remains to be seen. I also belong to Avaaz and Lead now but am solidly behing Justin. This has always been my concern about the “supporter” category, that it can be highjacked by single issue organizations or other…[Read more]

    • I think the majority of people have not signed up for any one candidate.

I am registered to vote but nobody know who I will be voting for.

What percentage of total registered voters are voting for JM is a better question?

      • Mary your question about Murray is very valid. It surely looks like several organizations who are supporting Joyce may be putting our some disinformation on Murray support. Just because those organizations have x number of members does not mean they support Murray. Leadnow for example purports to have over 100,000 members. In fact I am one them…[Read more]

    • Joyce Murray has 117 likes on her facebook page and Justin Trudeau has 69,202 likes on his facebook page. Murray’s few supporters are making a lot of noise and hype but I don’t think they have reached 50,000 supporters. Leadnow also supported Nathan Cullan of the NDP and we all know where he ended up in the leadership race. Fair vote Canada as…[Read more]

    • Here is the email from Lead Now.
This is a critical moment in Canadian history. Prime Minister Harper has spent years attacking institutions that a majority of Canadians love, and yet Harper still has the 5-10% lead in the polls he needs to win another majority government through our broken electoral system. Even more concerning, his party is…[Read more]

In reply to: Zubin Sanyal posted an update Hello! This is my first post in the community which I am sure my boss is going to be very happy about when he sees this. I have been working at LPC this summer tending to the Digital […] View

    Hi Zubin,
Good post. I think that some people here might not know about our #Supporter Network. Could you provide more information about it and explain what it’s all about? Thanks.

  • #supporter #Senate reform.
I am not sure if there are other members that feel the senate should be either abolished or an elected body.
I am and have been a proud Liberal for many years and know senate reform is not on the Liberal agenda but I think it’s about time we look into this issue.
I for one feel it’s an outdated requirement of a…[Read more]

    • I agree that the senate should be modernized. My preference would be for the senate to have equal representation from all provinces (say 10 each), plus one from each territory and maybe 4 seats for first nations (Metis and Inuit included). I would also suggest that it be the responsibility of the provincial governments to appoint their allocated…[Read more]

  • Did everyone recently receive that email asking for a survey? I just wanted to say it’s great that we’re asking people how they most want to be engaged, and I hope other similar things keep happening.
On a related note, is there any way to see all the emails that a new #supporter receives? I’m curious about our process here, and signing up as…[Read more]
