Anne Tennier is a chemist and professional engineer with extensive private sector experience and a long history of community engagement in Hamilton. For more than 30 years, Anne has worked as a chemist and professional engineer in a variety of industries, including transportation, pulp and paper, as well as food and agriculture. In 2010 and 2012, Anne worked with Maple Leaf Foods to help bring a bakery and meat processing plant to Hamilton, creating more than 1,000 full-time jobs for the community. As well as her success in the private sector, Anne has been an active volunteer with a number of community and philanthropic organizations in Hamilton. She sits on the Board of Directors for both the Hamilton Conservation Foundation and Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, and has been actively involved with the United Way of Burlington and Greater Hamilton, the Hamilton Roundtable for Poverty Reduction, the Ontario Trillium Foundation, and Le Centre Français de Hamilton.
