    It’s a good decision, certainly. I was just reading the article in the Globe. Now here’s an interesting question. Read the comments in the Globe. Sort the most highly rated. Normally the comments in the Globe are fairly reasonable and balanced. Certainly the ones that attract agreement are. Yet…[En afficher davantage]

      Scary isn’t it? Not to mention an embarrassment to all “thinking” Canadians. However, I have learned to take comments posted on politically angled articles on media sites with a grain of salt.         What happened to you was cyber bullying and can and should be reported. There is no time limit on stuff posted to the net, it never goes away so the proof of the attack and the threat will still be present somewhere. File a complaint and then post the complaint file number where the attacker will see it.

          Thanks for the advice, Dave. I did report it to the site and the threat was removed (actually I think before I even reported it). I was told that due to it being an actual threat that user would not be allowed to post anymore, ever, on that site, and all previous posts would also be removed.

          But that doesn’t mean that the user could not just…[En afficher davantage]

            Bullies don’t back down very easily and to them silence on your part is their victory. Don’t believe that the issue will go away, they will just move on to their next victim. The police will not be bothered by your bringing this too their attention. They will tell you that for this they have even set up a special division just to be bothered…[En afficher davantage]

              You make a good point. I am perhaps being selfish and not thinking about the next victim of this bully and, heaven forbid, if that case actually turned physical instead of ”cyber”.

              I will rethink this. Maybe I should report it to the authorities.
