      • He was found guilty of fraud. Even if you disagree with the verdict, that must stll be accepted as evidence that a serious claim of fraud has been put forward.
        As part of that case, three expert witnesses examined his fuel cell and found nothing revolutionary about it.
        Pseudoscience such as this has no place in government policy.

          • When you refer to “genuine experts in this field” what field are you referring to? I would say physicists and engineers are the experts most qualified to comment on the Stanley Meyer fuel cell.

              • The question is not how it works, but if it works. A vague “Genuine experts in the field would disagree” is not evidence. Who are these experts, what are their qualifications, and most importantly, where can I get a copy of their work which spcifically states that they agree with Stanley Meyer and why?

Israelis are in a totally different position than we Canadians are.                         • The ”technicality” was that it did not work and cannot work under the laws of physics. Mr. Mayer was convicted of fraud. American judges relied on experts who understood the laws of thermodynamics and knew how to test the machine to verify whether it worked as claimed.

        • That sums it up. Re:#1, the bulk of evidence is starting to point to the ”no link” corner. For #2, there are many ”n of 1” tales of symptomatic relief (not disease progression per se), but also a growing number of stories of complications from the procedure.
