2013 LPC Leadership

Be part of it

On April 14, 2013, for the first time, YOU can be a part of choosing the Leader of a federal political party – the Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada.

The voting period for the new Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada has officially begun. Registered Liberal voters have until Sunday, April 14 at 3pm ET to cast their vote.  If you are ready to vote online right now, and have your Leadership Vote letter and PIN, please go to https://www.vote2013leadership.ca/.

You will be voting with a preferential ballot. This means you have options:

  • You can vote for just ONE candidate
  • You can vote for SOME of the candidates in YOUR order of preference
  • You can vote for ALL candidates in YOUR order of preference

It’s entirely up to you. Remember you only vote once and the way you rank the candidates is important. Watch this video for more information.

If you have not yet received your Leadership Vote Letter, or if you are having trouble voting, please call 1-877-869-8233 between 7am and 11pm ET. If you prefer to vote by phone, please call 1-866-432-0584.

Tune in on Liberal.ca for the official results announcement on Sunday, April 14. You can be among the first to hear the new Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada.

We’re in this together

From introducing the Charter of Rights and Freedoms to getting Canada out of deficit in the 1990s, change in Canada happens when Liberals lead. That’s because Liberals stand for growth, hope and opportunity. We want a strong economy that works for the middle class and a prosperous, socially just, united and environmentally healthy Canada for all Canadians.

Now, as we look forward, Liberals have big bold dreams for Canada, just like you. We want you by our side as the Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, chosen by YOU, takes us forward.

Strong Start Fund

If you're a Liberal who has watched our past Leaders attacked in Conservative TV ads, you need to decide whether we will let it happen again. The Strong Start Fund was set up so we could introduce our Leader to Canadians on our terms in 2013.
