A debt of gratitude

Posted by Michael Ignatieff on February 12, 2011

Today I spoke to a packed room of Young Liberals from campus clubs right across Ontario. Most are in their late teens and early twenties, the same age as some of the brave men and women who occupied Tahrir Square for 18 days and brought down a regime.

Every generation should learn again what political courage looks and feels like. Everyone who loves freedom owes those young Egyptians a debt of gratitude.
