In this Leadership race, there won’t be a weekend-long delegated Leadership convention.
Instead, we will kick-off voting-week by bringing thousands of Liberals together for a convention-like National Showcase Saturday April 6, in Toronto.
And we will close voting week with a 2-hour event at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa Sunday Afternoon, April 14, to announce the new Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada.
If you’re looking for the Leadership Convention Experience, the 2013 LPC Leadership National Showcase is as close as it gets: the closing speeches from candidates, the waves of supporters crowding to the stage, the t-shirts, pins and memorabilia, and of course those late-night hospitality suites.
We’re even giving attendees an exclusive opportunity to vote in advance on site before voting opens nationally.

Received a mailing TODAY from the LPC2013PLC to complete the registration process prior to the 14th.
Used option one to register online.
The code provided by Matt Certosimo DOES NOT work. I’ve used zeros in lieu of captital “O’s” both ways. Still get the same error message telling me the code does not work.
I guess I can’t vote. :-(
Sent an email to Matt today.
Hi Wolfgang,
Thanks for the feedback. Please get in touch with the Leadership Registration team and they will be happy to work with you to sort everything out. You can fill the form here: http://www.liberal.ca/leadership-2013/registration-help/ or write to registration@liberal.ca.
Thx. Sent an email to Matt C this morning with the problem. Hopefully he’ll get back to me before the 14th. :-)
Make sure you also contact the Registration Team because they’ll be able to get back to you much quicker.
Matt sends out messages using the Registration Team email addy… that’s who I sent it to… same as the one you posted above earlier. Thx for your help Andre.
Still no reply from the Registration Team as of this morning. The media reports that there is a problem Is this true Andre?
Good morning Wolfgang,
Today being the day before the registration deadline, I am confident that the Registration Team will get back to you in time for you to register. It just happens that you are one of many that have waited until the final days to register. We expected this and are ready for it.
As for media reports, they always need to be taken with a grain of salt! The system works fine. I’ll follow-up with my colleagues to make sure your request for assistance is received.
Thank you Andre.
I just want to correct your comment about “One of the many that have waited until the final days to register”.
I first signed up as a supporter when it was announced. Since then I have responded immediately at each step of the process. Yesterday I received the mailing (March 12) signed by Matt Certosimo. I chose Option 1 immediately and followed the instructions. That’s when the Registration Code failed. So, I don’t consider myself as someone who waited until the final days to register.
Again, thanks …. Wolf
P.S. Still nothing in my email from the Registration team as of 9:47am
Hi Wolfgang,
I spoke to the Registration Team and they confirmed that you successfully registered on February 2nd just after 1pm ET. You should have received a confirmation email with the subject line: “Thank you for registering for your ballot.”
It seems that afterwards you signed up again as a Supporter but instead of putting your name on the form you put your email. This created a duplicate in the system which is why you received a new registration notice. That’s also why the code did not work – you are already registered and you cannot do so twice.
As I said earlier, the system works! We have now removed your duplicate.
Thank you again Andre. So I can ignore the letter I received yesterday in my snail mail ? I’m registered to vote by April 7th? Cheers and thanks again for the follow up with the registration team. … Wolf
Yep, you’re all good.
Cheers!
