I’ve never met Maggie Conway.
But after reading this message that Rhona Lahey left about her niece, Maggie, when she donated to the Million Conversations Campaign, I sure would like to meet them both.
Dear Mr. Rae: I am making this contribution because of my 18-year old niece, Maggie Conway, who is young, bright, talented, tolerant and a member and fervent believer in the Party.
I want this small donation to help the Liberals get more people like Maggie involved in the Party and in the political process because it is young people who will really fight for an inclusive and socially responsible Canada.
There are so many people out there that Liberals need to reach out to — and you can help us meet them. So much untapped passion, idealism, energy and hope that can fuel our movement in 2012 and beyond.
I felt it first last summer travelling the country with Bob. And I feel it again every time I walk into a Liberal event. We are growing, rebuilding and connecting with Canadians of all ages.
So far over 2,463 donors, including 1,061 first-time contributors, have helped us raise enough to start 400,598 conversations with Canadians in 2012.
