We’re pleased to share with you our “Adopt a Street” program here in St. Catharines. This the first of many of our community outreach projects.
The seed of this idea was planted when we were canvasing door to door in the last election. After a few conversations, we realized that many were not aware of our activities. We felt that this was a great opportunity to raise our profile so that people could get to know us, get to see what we are doing, and hopefully gain their support as they see that we truly do have our community’s best interest at heart.
I’d like to recognize the hard work from my colleague Yvonne on our executive. She was the project’s chairperson and worked hard on this and deserves credit for making it happen.
