Pretty funny, perhaps Mr. Rae is unaware of the fact that his views regarding the role of Canadians in providing for international security are largely predicated on an ideologically based international relations theory generally known as Liberal internationalism. Any student of international relations could have told you that much. This is not to suggest that Mr. Rae’s views concerning Mali are incorrect, but rather to demonstrate once again the folly in referring to our foreign policy views as being beyond theory or ideology.
