I have a story to share with you – one I hope will inspire you to either sign up for free for the chance to vote for our next Leader or to chip in $4.
On a recent trip to Bangladesh, a ten-year-old girl asked me, “Why are you here and where are you from?” I’ve come from Canada to talk about climate change, I said, expecting her to smile.
But instead she looked down in disappointment.
“When you go back home, please ask your government to come to Bangladesh and taste climate change,” she said. You see, as the sea water rises, some of the country’s drinking water is becoming saltier. And you can actually taste climate change.
If this story breaks your heart as much as mine, you have a choice to make.
