Posted by Carolyn Bennett on September 4, 2012 | No Comments

Later today, at 6:30 pm ET, we’ll be holding a live Liberal Women’s Caucus Town Hall at the Liberal Party of Canada’s Summer Caucus meeting – and I’d like you to tune in to the webcast.

Join me, along with my colleague Judy Sgro, Liberal Critic for Seniors, Pensions and Status of Women, as we discuss various issues and take questions from our live and online audience.

There’s no RSVP required, just click this link a little before 6:30 pm ET and join us on

We’re looking forward to discussing important topics such as the Women’s Caucus Fall 2012 Respect Strategy. We have heard that women are upset that this Conservative government shows no respect for their talents or their lived experiences.

There are many issues to discuss such as the need for the RCMP to be an exemplary ‘respectful workplace’ for women, the important responsibilities held by women as health care guardians for their families and the appropriate support for their family responsibilities.

That’s why we will be meeting with women across the country to ask them what is important to them and their families in calling this Conservative government to account.

Liberals believe that RESPECT is a sentinel Liberal value – for rule of law, Parliament, evidence, science, caregivers and community-based organizations. We want to hear from you so please join us and share your ideas and expertise.

And help us fight back.

Please click here to watch the live stream of the town hall at 6:30 pm ET.

Thank you.

Dr. Carolyn Bennett

Chair, Liberal Women’s Caucus
