If you think Toronto-Danforth is the safest NDP seat in the country, think again.
I heard the same thing about Winnipeg North when I fought the toughest by-election in a generation in November 2010.
We were 30-points behind in the second safest NDP riding in Canada. And the pundits told us we didn’t have a hope.
They were wrong – and if you stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the 846 Liberals who have donated $62,012 to the Take Toronto-Danforth Campaign, those pundits will be proven wrong again.
I beat the NDP in Winnipeg North because every day my team hit the doorsteps and told our story.
Voters aren’t ideological. They want to know what values you stand for. And they’ll get to know you for who you are.
But voters can’t make that choice if they don’t hear your message – and getting that message out takes money.
- $5 helps us put the food on the table at HQ that keeps our volunteers energized;
- $25 covers the cost of blanketing another poll with micro-targeted campaign flyers; and
- $100 – just $25 after your tax break – lets us expand our nightly volunteer phone bank by one more station.
With just 2 days left, time is running out. The sooner we get these funds to our campaign in Toronto-Danforth, the wider our volunteers can take the Liberal message.
Thank you.

PS. Yesterday’s canvassing blitz was an incredible success. If you’re in the Toronto area and would like to help, please come to the campaign office at 91 Danforth Ave or email volunteer@tdfla.ca.

Thanks for the email to encourage me to donate Kevin. Its a lot more fun to be a little involved than watching from a far.
Also now that I have your attention. My daughter Dillon who I think you know, (her and her husband used to live in your housing complex where you started campaigning) needs a little encouragement to seriously consider seeking a nomination for Winnipeg St Vital or St Norbert.
I was thinking if you and I and anyone else you could think of (perhaps Anita) got on her band wagon. Perhaps we could tip the scales in favour of her having the courage to do so. She does know her fair share about Justice and first Nations issues in Manitoba.
