TORONTO- Liberal Leader Bob Rae made the following statement today on the death of Agnes Zabali in Uganda:
“It was with sadness that I learned of Agnes Zabali’s passing and her personal struggle these past few days. Her death is a tremendous loss to her family and friends, but also to the larger community where she was admired and held in high regard for her many years of public service, volunteerism and leadership.
On behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada and our Parliamentary Caucus, I extend my heartfelt sympathies to Agnes’s family. They are in our thoughts and prayers, particularly her son, Jimmy Sebulime, at this terribly difficult time.”
Liberal
