Regional Field Director (Atlantic)




The Liberal Party of Canada is seeking expressions of interest to serve as a Regional Field Director, for an opportunity to join a dedicated team of staff to support Justin Trudeau and the Liberal team.

The National Field Program is a key pillar of the Liberal Party of Canada’s engagement and election readiness strategy. At its core, the program is about growing our movement for positive change, by leading conversations and engagement with Canadians.

Reporting to the Senior Director of National Field, a Regional Field Director is responsible for directing the operations of a regional office, managing a staff and maintaining a positive relationship with our team of caucus members and candidates throughout the region.

As the Regional Field Director you are held accountable to specific targets and timelines related to fundraising, volunteer engagement, voter contact, and compliance. The success of the National Field Program, and this position, depends on you motivating a team of Field Organizers to support teams across the province.

Key Responsibilities

  • Your primary responsibility is to manage a regional office and team, to hit critical deliverables in fundraising, engagement, voter contact, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide training, support, and management for campaigns, local organizers, riding associations, candidates, and volunteers.
  • Organize different types of events, including the following: fundraising, engagement, campaign colleges, and conventions.
  • Maintain a budget and ensure all expenses are approved and fit within the budget.
  • Build positive working relationships across the region and with related teams in Ottawa.
  • Other duties as required.


  • Skilled manager – This position requires you to train and support a team of staff.
  • Great personality! – You should be energetic, organized, love people, and be comfortable with public speaking.
  • Stakeholder relations – Have a proven track record of being able to build positive working relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Budgeting – Work within a budget for your office and team.
  • Event Planning – Ability to manage the planning of large-scale events meeting goals and staying on budget.
  • Strategic Communications – Experience with communications and issues management.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Canadian politics and the values that bring us together as a Party.
  • Passionate about raising money and support for a good cause.
  • Good technical skills and the ability to problem solve in the moment.

Working Conditions
